IMPACTFUL EDUCATION

Impactful Education connects unfilled university seats with students who have the talent — but not the access.

Impactful Education is a non‑profit association based in Oslo, established to connect higher‑education institutions with students from the Global South.

We exist to reduce barriers to opportunity through practical support such as visa facilitation, scholarships, and targeted initiatives, delivered efficiently via a per‑institution platform that we lease from our mother company, SVVY AS.

How it works

For Students

  1. Match – We identify open, accredited programs that fit your goals.

  2. Fund – We help with planing of scholarships, travel, housing, and essentials.

  3. Support – We can provide career guidance until graduation.

For Universities

  1. List seats – Share available capacity and priority fields.

  2. Co‑select – Review pre-screened, qualified candidates with our team.

  3. Co‑support – Partner with us to provide student services and measure outcomes.

Organisational Framework

  • Impactful Education operates through a set of formalised operational policies that ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency across all activities.
    These routines define how the organisation engages with students, partner institutions, and internal staff — balancing efficiency with strong ethical principles.

    In line with Article §2 of the Association’s statutes, Impactful Education’s mission is to bridge higher-education institutions with students from the Global South through the SVVY platform.
    Our vision is guided by five core values: Inclusion, Dignity, Transparency, Efficiency, and Integrity.

  • The formal board of Impactful Education is in the process of being established.
    Until then, the organisation is chaired by Josefine Akselsen and operates under interim governance routines approved July 2025.

  • Impactful Education is funded through a combination of grants, donations, and institutional contributions.
    In line with our Articles of Association, the organisation also receives income from the leasing of a digital platform — developed and owned by our parent company, SVVY AS — on a per-institution basis.
    Additional revenues may arise from cashback schemes and lawful partnerships that directly support our educational mission.

    All funds are managed transparently and reinvested in activities that further the organisation’s purpose.
    No part of our income or assets benefits members or board representatives, except for the reimbursement of reasonable expenses or fair-market-value compensation for work performed.
