Who we are

SVVY is organised as a limited liability company. At the time of writing, it consists of Johanne Iversen (from left), Nicolas Richard Manskow, Josefine Akselsen and Trym Jarle Vårdal.

The team also consists of two important people missing from the picture. They are Joakim Askeland and Plebeian Andri C. De la Cruz.

SVVY was founded by four students from NMBU in Norway in 2024, and will remain located in Norway.

Why SVVY exists

Across Europe, thousands of university seats remain vacant each year: a silent symptom of demographic decline, uneven regional enrolment, and pressure on universities.
Meanwhile, across the Global South, many qualified students are blocked from international study by high costs, limited access to information, and reliance on outdated agent networks.

SVVY exists to bridge that gap.

We transform unused educational capacity into accessible opportunity by connecting universities with the right students — directly, transparently, and efficiently.
Our platform enables institutions to fill under-enrolled programmes while empowering students to apply, finance, and complete their studies abroad without the middlemen and the hidden fees,

At SVVY, our motivation stems from a strong desire to make a difference — to do something different by connecting the Global North with the Global South. We believe innovation happens when we bring diverse perspectives together, so we talk with universities, professors, and students. We all need each other.

We’ll keep you updated as we grow, guided by global insights and a shared mission to build something meaningful.
